Heart disease ranks as the second leading cause of death in Taiwan.
In Taiwan, more than 100,000 people are hospitalized each year due
to severe cardiovascular diseases.
The mortality rate during hospitalization is approximately 10%.
For acute myocardial infarction patients, if medical care is delayed beyond 12 hours, the
mortality rate rises to 16%.
The mortality rate within one year after discharge is approximately
30%.
The Hidden Threat of Silent Hypoxia
Silent Hypoxia (Happy Hypoxia), along with blood
clots and cytokine storms, are the three major complications of COVID-19.
According to reports from the United States, COVID-19 patients arriving at emergency rooms often
have blood oxygen levels as low as 70–80%, or even below 50%, yet they can
still move and talk normally.
These patients suffer from the frightening condition of "Silent Hypoxia," where they may appear
fine one moment but collapse into shock or sudden death the next.
Do not assume this only happens to severe cases; even asymptomatic and mild
cases are at risk of sudden death due to "Silent Hypoxia."
