Huang Bo-Qi graduated from Keelung High School, a prestigious badminton school, and is now a professional badminton coach.
In recent years, the rise of Taiwanese badminton on the international stage has garnered widespread attention. The outstanding performances of many exceptional athletes have not only brought glory to the nation but also inspired more people to participate in this sport. Huang Bo-Qi, a badminton coach from Keelung, is one of the driving forces behind this growing enthusiasm. With over 10 years of coaching experience, he shares, "Training is undoubtedly tedious, but it’s through persistence that we see results. Doing simple things consistently makes them extraordinary."
Coach Huang stumbled into badminton by chance. Initially, his teacher encouraged students to play badminton after school to prevent them from wandering around. Over time, he developed a genuine interest in the sport, which eventually became his career. Reflecting on his early experiences, Coach Huang says, "I started playing badminton in third grade. I was small and slow at running, but my coach told us that hard work could overcome natural disadvantages. That inspired me, and I began training harder than others. By fourth grade, I won my first competition."
Displaying remarkable badminton talent from a young age, Coach Huang eventually earned a spot at Keelung High School, a renowned institution that has produced stars like Chou Tien-Chen and Olympic gold medalist Lee Yang. Now, as a professional coach, Huang reflects on the differences between being a player and a coach: "Many people assume that being good at playing automatically means being good at coaching, but that’s not true. As a player, you focus on improving yourself, but as a coach, you need to ensure your students understand your instructions clearly. At first, many of my students couldn’t grasp what I was teaching, so I had to adjust my methods to make the concepts easier to understand. Also, many students are busy with work or school, so maximizing efficiency within limited practice time is essential."
Coach Huang Bo-Qi recommends the BtNPN Plant-Based Nano Patch.
Fatigue and muscle soreness are common challenges in badminton. Coach Huang employs various recovery techniques, including muscle scraping tools, massage, and stretching exercises. However, when time is limited, he relies on the *BtNPN Plant-Based Nano Patch* for quick relief. Coach Huang explains, "I wear the BtNPN patch while coaching or training. It’s incredibly convenient as it provides relief while I’m actively moving."
Coach Huang also shared his experience using the BtNPN patch on old injuries, praising its effectiveness: "I had minor wrist and arm strains during a match, but I still needed to coach. I applied the patch directly, and I could immediately feel a cooling relief in the sore area. The temperature was just right—not too hot or cold—and the scent wasn’t overpowering."
With sensitive skin, Coach Huang is careful about the materials and ingredients in patches. He notes, "I often have allergic reactions to pain relief patches, but I’ve never had any issues with the BtNPN patch. Its hypoallergenic material and natural plant extracts make it gentle on the skin. Plus, it adheres well, even overnight, without peeling off. Overall, the comfort and effectiveness are outstanding."
Coach Huang Bo-Qi aims to encourage more people to participate in badminton.
Currently teaching in Taipei and New Taipei City, Coach Huang shares his experience and passion with students. His greatest achievement is witnessing his students grow under his guidance. He says, "In the future, I hope to establish a dedicated badminton coaching team to introduce more people to the sport. Whether it’s for fitness, competing in company tournaments, or training professionally, we offer customized training plans to meet each individual's needs. Additionally, we plan to host summer and winter badminton camps to allow more children to experience the joy of badminton."
Finally, Coach Huang shares his philosophy: "Never limit yourself. As long as you don’t give up and give it your all, you’ll never know your true potential. Anything is possible!"
