Chen Ya-Hui, the 36-year-old captain of the Hualien Women's Football Team, has always been the unwavering soul of the team. Her football journey began at Hualien Guangfu, where she learned football since elementary school, gradually incorporating it into her life with the influence of her older sister. She recalls, "When I was in elementary school, my sister played football, and back then, if the older sister played, the younger sister would play too. I just kept playing until now."

Looking back on her 20-plus years in football, the most unforgettable moment for her was the Asian Cup match against North Korea. She admitted that the atmosphere in North Korea's home stadium left a deep impression. She said, "Not only was the 60,000-person stadium completely filled, but the audience would also sing the national anthem and military songs. The momentum was so powerful, and North Korea is also a very strong opponent."

Chen Ya-Hui's skincare tips: Sunscreen, makeup removal, and skincare products are all essential

As a professional football athlete, especially on sunny match days, Chen Ya-Hui pays great attention to sun protection and skincare. She says, "We are exposed to the sun for long periods, so I focus a lot on post-sun care." She says, "I didn't know this brand at first, but later found that it's very moisturizing, and even after sun exposure, there's no stinging sensation when I apply it." Despite the busy season, Chen Ya-Hui carefully arranges her schedule. During the day, she works as a coach, and in the evening, she trains with the Hualien Women's Football Team. When asked how she balances training and personal life, Chen Ya-Hui says, "You need to plan ahead, including time management and mental preparation, rather than feeling stressed after the fact." Her words reflect her strong will and determination.

This year marks Chen Ya-Hui's tenth year with the Hualien Women's Football Team. Talking about the team's current lineup, she admits that many players from the last season's championship team have left Hualien. She says, "At first, I had some complaints, but then I realized it's better to take it with a calm mindset, and it allows more new players to shine."

Although Chen Ya-Hui is already 36 years old and thinks about retiring every year, she continues to fight for Hualien. When asked how long she will continue playing for Hualien, she pauses and says, "I need to think carefully about it!" Since eight players from the team are from Xiulin, she says, "For me, playing for Hualien feels natural, and I hope to give new players the opportunity to have a dream for their future!"
